Oupa Pilane is the Chair of the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) and a board member of South African Tourism. With a strong background in the public sector, including serving as spokesperson for former Mpumalanga Premier Mathews Phosa, he spent 14 years in government before transitioning into tourism. His journey began with a guesthouse in Mpumalanga, later expanding into a thriving tourism enterprise. Passionate about industry growth and representation, Oupa now leads SATSA in advocating for the sector’s development and sustainability.
